Accessibility statement

Rootsly targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA across the homeowner journey, widget, reports, email, organisation workspace and super-admin area.

This statement records the engineering target and current controls. It is not a claim that every route and third-party surface has completed an independent full conformance audit.

Rootsly is mobile-first and uses semantic controls, labelled regions, keyboard access, visible focus, screen-reader status announcements and reduced-motion support.

Status and comparison meaning must not depend on colour alone. Client themes are constrained by contrast checks, and clients cannot replace the assessment layout with arbitrary styling.

Reports and transactional email use a stable semantic structure and readable language. A visual PDF must not become the only way to understand the result where an accessible equivalent is required.

Provider dashboards and browser or email-client behaviour may introduce limitations outside Rootsly's direct control; Rootsly still records and investigates barriers in the journey it provides.

Email support@rootsly.co.uk with the page or feature, what you were trying to do, the device or assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it, and the format that would help.

Do not email passwords, report access tokens, detailed financial answers or another person's information. Normal support targets a human response within one business day.

Relevant interface work is checked on mobile and desktop, with keyboard and semantic review proportionate to the change. Automated checks support—but do not replace—manual assistive-technology and usability testing.

This statement is reviewed when material journeys or accessibility findings change and at least before a genuine public pilot.
